Bio
Barry Cope is the Group Managing Director of the Building Compliance Testers Association, notably encompassing ATTMA, Air Tightness Testing & Measurement Association and The Building Performance Hub. Barry has worked in compliance for most of his career following his engineering studies. Barry spent 7 years conducting air leakage testing on some of the UK’s biggest and most complex buildings alongside studying acoustics, notably designing and building 3 sound insulation suites and creating a sound insulation testing scheme for site based testers.
Barry has become an industry expert in building compliance testing certification schemes with ATTMA representing a significant proportion of all testing and standards used worldwide. Barry now also manages The Building Performance Hub, a dedicated centre of excellence for construction compliance training based near London.
