Tell Me Something I Don’t Know #40 – Fire Dampers

In the UK fire dampers should be tested (BS9999) at regular intervals not exceeding 2 years and spring operated dampers annually. NFPA requires testing 1 year after installation and then every 4 years (hospitals 6 years).
